Interior Design Tips For Home Interior

1. A carpet for any room:

Tile and laminate floors are easy to keep clean, and depending on the quality, is usually very durable as well. Sometimes though, especially in winter when the cold creeps in through underneath the doors and window panes, it is heart warming to have a carpet in the center of a room. The carpet doesn't have to cover the entire floor, and could even just cover the area underneath the coffee table or at the foot end of your bed. Carpets come in different textures, colors and shapes. Use easy to clean carpets in the kid's rooms, and consider a plush, soft carpet or rug for the main bedroom or guestroom.

2. A splash of paint:

By adding a coat of paint to a wall, floor or old piece of furniture can bring the piece alive and create a whole new look and feel to the room. If the walls in the room are all white, consider creating an accent wall. Paint one wall of the room a bright and bold color. This can refresh the look of the room, and create a more modern feeling. If that is too much of a statement, consider taking an old piece of furniture and painting it another color, like a coffee table or a chair.

3. Mirror Mirror on the wall:

Mirrors have an incredible way of drawing light into a room and illuminating a space. Whether it is a long and dark corridor, or a room with very small windows, mirrors add extra depth and light. Using mirrors of different sizes will allow you to create a truly original atmosphere in the room. The frame is also very important, and should blend in effortlessly into your current interior style. Another great idea is to use different sizes and shapes of mirrors to liven up a dull bathroom wall. This adds character to the space, while introducing variety to the space.

4. Green Thumbs:

Introducing plants into your home can breathe new life into a space that you might have found dull and unadventurous before. There are many different options when it comes to indoor plants. The most innovative is a Green Wall. It serves more than one purpose. Firstly it is a unique feature piece that takes up no floor space and utilizes a blank wall to create a feeling of being one with nature. The second option is a tasteful pot plant than can be used to liven up a corner in the living room or dining room. As far as the kitchen goes, by introducing smaller pots that has herbs means that you will always have a fresh supply of your favourite herb.
